Colony Red Hots vs. Deerfield Bluefins and South Irvine Dolphins

The Colony Red Hots had a terrific meet last Saturday against the Deerfield Bluefins and
the South Irvine Dolphins. The Red Hots had a total of 96 time improvements and 90
qualifying times! This was a great way for the team to head into the Championship Meet.

Cullen Chow had an amazing meet as he took first place and had qualifying times in all
three of his events.

Aparna Alluri had a time improvement of over 56 seconds in the 50 meter breaststroke!
Another Red Hot swimmer who achieved a time improvement of over 10 seconds was
Erica Koyama.

The Red Hot swimmers who placed in all their individual events were: Chris Allman,
Zachary Baxter, Justine Brown, Britney Cao, Caleb Chow, Cassandra Chow, Kaitlen
Clarke, Dylan Fox, Jordan Fox, Preston Fox, Jonah Hobbs, Makayla Hobbs, Kevin
Kohlhase, Abigail Lee, Jacob Lee, Jerry Lee, Miles Malohn, Alexander Miyake, Ryan
Montis, Rachel Mucho, Alana Nguyen, Andrew Nguyen, Kaitlin Nguyen, Katelyn
Nguyen, Katherine Nguyen, Kayla Nguyen, Gail Nishimura, Maximilian Nuttall,
Timothy Pham, Madeleine Poissonnier, Julia Rausch, Brandon Raymundo, Donna
Raymundo, Evan Tom, Nicole Tom, Thuy-Lin Ton, Krystal Tran, and Andrew Yasrebi.

Also placing in at least one event were: Gwen Baxter, Joshua Baxter, Avery Brown,
Matthew Chen, Allison Doty, Stewart Erdahl, Makayla Hobbs, Meghana Kakulawaram,
Chloe Kiso, Carson Kita, Allison Lee, Isabelle Lin, Tony Masangkay, Elizabeth
Minerman, Gabriel Miyake, Justin Nguyen, Macy Nuttall, Milan Nuttall, Jaden Park,
Kenneth Patterson, Emma Paul, Bella Poblete, Alexander Rodriguez, Alexis Tom, Kelly
Tran, Brittany Wang, and Eddy Yoon.

There were many Red Hot swimmers who improved their personal best times in at least
one event. They were: Wyatt Andraos, Karthik Bhamidipati, Aiden Brady, Joanna
Chow, Jacob Gibson, Rohan Kakulawaram, Claudia Kiso, Nolan Malohn, Claire
McGuinness, Jack McGuinness, Jason Nguyen, McKenna Patton, Alexandra Paul,
Jackson Paul, Claire Poissonnier, and Kevin Waterman.

Also swimming great swims for the Red Hots were: Jonathan Chen, Owen Hemberger,
Sophie Hobbs, Miki Koyama, Ethan Lin, Ava Lundvall, Nicholas McGehee, Madeline
Minerman, Jaclyn Paul, China Poblete, Brandon Wang, Joshua Weingarten, and Lily
Weingarten.

The Colony Red Hots broke a couple of records this summer! On June 25th Teddy Pham
broke the record for 11-12 boys 50 meter backstroke by swimming his race in an amazing
29.56. A couple of weeks later, Cullen Chow swam the 5-6 boys 25 meter freestyle in an
incredible 17.81 seconds. Congratulations to both swimmers!
