Colony Red Hots vs Deerfield Bluefins 8/3/2010 The Colony Red Hots has 125 time improvements in their meet with the Deerfield Bluefins. This meet resulted in 100 ISL qualifying times. Cassandra Chow had an incredible performance placing first in all 4 of her events: 9-10 girls 50 yard backstroke, 50 yard individual medley, 50 yard freestyle, and mixed 200 freestyle relay. Teddy Pham took 3 first places on events 11-12 boys 50 yard backstroke, 50 yard breaststroke, and mixed 200 medley relay. Read more... President's Upate 7/26/2010 Great meet Saturday! We received a great compliment from the president of the Village Park Piranhas. He was really impressed at how smooth the meet ran, how nice our pool facility is, and how great the food at the snack bar is. Read more... ISL Championship Apparel & Gear 7/23/2010 Order your Irvine Swim League 2010 Championships Apparel & Gear here! This year there are T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, ladies ribbed tank top and two colors of beach towels available. Some items, colors, and sizes will only be availble during the ISL pre-order. Colony Red Hots vs Woodbridge Waveriders 7/19/2010 The Red Hots earned a total of 158 time improvements and 76 qualifying times. Colony swimmers earning a first place ribbon were Cassandra Chow, Mark Falz, Melissa Falz, Preston Fox, Rachel Mucho, Alana Nguyen, Andrew Nguyen, Teddy Pham, Timmy Pham, and Claire Poissonnier. Meet Report: Colony Red Hots vs Westpark 6/30/2010 The Colony Red Hots had a great time swimming against the Westpark Marlins in the first Irvine Swim League meet of the season. The Red Hots earned a total of 179 time improvements and 55 qualifying times. Impressive swims were turned in by Brandon Raymundo, who took first place and qualified in all three of his individual events. Relay teams taking first place were Gabriel Miyake, Joshua Baxter, Claire Poissonnier, and China Poblete in the 5-6 medley and Mark Falz, Timmy Pham, Kaitlen Clarke, and Chris Allmann in the 15-18 medley. Raffle Tickets 6/30/2010 The raffle tickets were passed out yesterday so please look in the "mailbox" that's out on the pool deck, next to the lane line holder. In those boxes should be a folder for each swim team family so please check those periodically for team information in paper format. Also, raffle tickets can be purchased at the July 4th picnic at the snack bar if anyone would like to purchase them there as well. Read more... Weekly Reader 6/29/2010 What a way to kick off the 2010 Season! Everything went smooth and it looked like everyone had a great time at the Westpark meet. There is a week break before our first home meet on July 10th versus College Park. read more... 5-6 Age Group Party 6/25/2010 Each swim season The Colony Red Hot swim team traditionally has Age Group Parties. This is a time for the swimmers to get to know their coaches and fellow swimmers outside of the pool. We hope that your child can participate in this event. Read more... First Meet and Time Trials 6/22/2010 The first meet of the year is fast approaching. We will be swimming against the Westpark Marlins at their pool on the corner of Paseo Westpark and San Marino. The pool doesn't have much shade so if you can bring a pop-up tent to share, it would be more fun for all involved. Outside the pool is a play area for little ones and a large grass area for overflow pop-up tents. Read more... Picture Day Information 6/14/2010 RED HOT PICTURE DAY - Wednesday, July 7 @ 3:30pm Individual pictures will begin at 3:30 at the pool. One Colony Red Hot team picture will be taken promptly at 4:30. Envelopes will be placed in the boxes the last week of June and will need to be brought with you on the 7th with a check for payment. Read more... Season Kickoff and Root Beer Floats 6/10/2010 Friday June 11th at 4:30pm we will have our annual season kick-off, by serving Root Beer Floats after each swim practice session. Read more... Water Safety 6/10/2010 Just a reminder, kids under 14 are not allowed in the pool without adult supervision. If you are dropping your kids off for practice, they can't enter the pool until their practice session begins. Afterward, they must exit the pool if parents are not present. Read more... Welcome 2010 6/1/2010 Welcome to the start of the 2010 ISL swim season. Last year the ISL celebrated the 25th anniversary and this year we have the privilege of having our Championship Meet sandwiched between two events that will bring world class swimmers from across the country to Woollett Aquatic Center. Read more... Registration 2010 2/16/2010 Swim season runs from June 7th to August 14th for ages 5 to 18. Practice sessions are daily Mon-Fri for approximately 1 hour, generally between 3:30pm -6:30pm. The time and length of practice sessions are dependent upon the age group. All new swimmers must be water-safe and are encouraged to have completed a basic swim or water-safety class prior to the beginning of the swim season. Read more...
